Hades- Another term for Hell. The infernal region.

Hallucination- Seeing and believing in something that is not actually there. Distorted perception of events that are not taking place.

Haunt- The act of haunting. 

Haunted- A person or place to which negative spirits are attached. These spirits can be human or inhuman in nature. Technically, the spirit present does not have to be evil in order to classify its actions as a haunting. 

Haunting- The act of being haunted. Although in most cases, evil spirits are involved in a haunting, it is possible for the actions of a benign spirit to be classified as a haunting. However, there must be an evil or unpleasant event associated with the actions of the spirit.

Haunting With A Purpose- To be a true haunting, there must be some evil or at least unpleasant actions on the part of the spirit. In other words, it must have some goal or purpose behind its actions. An example might be to drive someone from their home or destroy the family unit.

Hell- The place where God sent all devils, demons and evil spirits for punishment. It is believed that truly evil people are also sent to hell. This varies according to religious traditions. Also known as Hades or the infernal region.

Hell Hound- Mythological dog said to come from Hell to afflict mankind. The three-headed dog Cerberus is an example of a Hell Hound.

Hexagram- Six pointed star formed from two interlaced equilateral triangles which signifies the rule of the spirit over the body. Often used on the robes of people practicing magic as a means protection.

Holy Grail- Found in German and Anglo-Saxon mythology, it is a vessel which has sacred powers.

Holy Water- Water that has been blessed by a member of the clergy. Holy water is said to have the ability negate negative forces. It is used to bless people or objects and is used in Baptism ceremonies. 

Human Sacrifice- The act of killing a person during a satanic ritual. Animals are often sacrificed as well.

Human Spirit- The spirit of a person who has lived in the physical plane. These spirits can be earthbound for a number of reasons such as fear, unfinished business or the desire to stay close to their possessions or loved ones. These spirits can be either good or evil.
