Protect Me

Please help them make me see

That these spirits don’t belong here with me

Maybe their death was a terrible way

                          Not knowing they’ve passed away

I feel for them when I hear the noises they make at night

The footsteps, the knocks, and the ticking of the clock

Burning white candles make them see the light

And it also protects me in the middle of the night

So before I go to sleep

I say a prayer for me

God protect me with a shield of light

So I may sleep at night
